Psalm 139

Psalm 139

Psalm 139:13, 16

You created my inmost self,
Knit me together in my mother’s womb.
For so many marvels I thank you;
A wonder am I, and all your works are wonders.
Your eyes could see my embryo
In your book all my days were inscribed,
Everyone that was fixed is there.

Knitting can be a complex endeavor for a beginner, until with lots of practice the beginner will master all the various stitches.  Then, becoming a qualified knitter, a masterpiece is born.

As human beings, we are complex beings.  When God knit us perfectly in our Mother’s womb, He used diverse stitches deliberately making us individually different with gifts and talents to be used in His Kingdom.  He saw us in our embryo perfectly planned by His hand but in our continued journey we gathered worldly moss.  We became the poor, the suffering, the hungry, the thirsty, the abused, the confused and the lost.

In whatever category we see others or ourselves we are asked to reach out, listen, share, pray and above all LOVE.  We are to be God’s listening ear, speaking and praying tongue, and embracing arms to encourage, help and bless each other.  This is called the Healing Church Community.

Go share God’s love through your various stitches so that in time God can complete His Heavenly Masterpiece.
