We are excited to welcome Fr. Ed Eherer back to Grande Prairie and St. Joseph parish. Fr. Ed will be offering pastoral assistance to St. Joseph Parish but will also be involved in specialized Redemptorist Ministry outside of the parish. With restrictions due to the pandemic coming to an end, Fr. Ed and the Redemptorist Community see that parishes will need some specialized help to build again.

Are you, or do you know, someone who
Has expressed an interest in becoming Catholic?
Has a child over the age of seven who has not been baptized? Was baptized Catholic as a child, but has not celebrated the Sacraments of Confirmation and Eucharist?
We offer an opportunity to come together in a small group to learn more about our faith.
Sessions focus on the teachings and experience of Church and prepare individuals to celebrate the Sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation, and Eucharist during the Easter season. There are separate sessions for children or youth. You are welcome to participate in the process with your questions, your insights and your faith story in a warm accepting setting.

Archbishop Gerry declared a Year of St. Joseph in our Archdiocese, which began on the feast of St. Joseph, March 19, 2021, and will end on March 19, 2022. The diocesan office has created a number of ways to honour St. Joseph. Prayer cards are available at the parish office. The Archbishop encourages families and individuals to make a pilgrimage in the next year to each of the 3 churches in the Archdiocese dedicated to St. Joseph: Grande Prairie, Spirit River and John D’Or Prairie.
Pilgrimage Passports are also available at the parish office. Details concerning the pilgrimage, and more, can be found on the diocese website, archgm.ca/year-of-st-joseph, or call 780-532-9766.
