Dear Parishioners,

Happy New Year! This Sunday we celebrate the 5th Week of Ordinary Time.

We invite you to check out the many news items below. We hope that if you were unable to register to attend public mass that you are able to join us for our live streamed mass at 10 AM. **Please be aware that due to COVID-19, Archbishop Gerard has given dispensation for all Sunday obligations. This means you are not obligated to attend mass, and we will continue to live-stream Sunday mass on our Facebook page until the dispensation has been lifted.

PLEASE NOTE: WEEKDAY MASS TIME CHANGES THIS WEEK

Please note that due to students receiving their sacrament of First Communion in the evenings this coming week, all weekday masses this week will be at 12:15pm. Please continue to register using the website, Eventbrite or by calling the parish office.

Help us “Give a Hand Up”

Some of the agencies in the city are in desperate need of gloves to give to those in greater need. We will be collecting gloves at the entrance of the church during the Sunday masses, and throughout the week outside the parish office. All the gloves that are collected will be brought to the Friendship Centre the following week.

Ash Wednesday Collection

This year’s Ash Wednesday collection is a collection for the restoration of church buildings in our mission sites. We believe in creating safe and welcoming environments across the diocese, where the people of God can gather to pray, learn, receive the sacraments, and grow as a faith community.

In 2020 the Ash Wednesday Collection went to the church buildings in Fox Lake and John D’Or Prairie, in Little Red River Cree Nation. In 2021, the Ash Wednesday Collection will be used to continue to make improvements to the combined church and rector building in Cateh, in Dene Tha’ First Nation.

Bring Your Old Palms

Ash Wednesday is approaching, time to bring back your old palm branches.  We burn these branches and use the ashes on Ash Wednesday.

Collect your Stamps

The Redemptorists will happily collect any stamps leftover from Christmas cards sent in the mail. They are collected and recycled as an annual fundraiser. Simply collect your stamps, put them in an envelope and drop them off at the parish office, or place them in the collection box at mass. The Redemptorists thank you!

2020 Tax Receipts

Your 2020 Tax Receipts are available next Sunday, February 14th, following each mass.
