STATIONS OF THE CROSS
MARCH 26TH, 2021

Enter the journey of Christ on the road to the cross by “virtually” walking the stations of the cross with us. This Friday, join with us as we pray in memory of Saint Oscar Romero, "The Solidarity Way of the Cross": stations from Development and Peace (2013).

Remember the poor in El Salvador, where Saint Oscar Romero was martyred. Remember the poor and downtrodden around the world and those who serve them for Christ's sake. Learn about the work of St. Oscar Romero. Please support others like Oscar through the work of D&P. Your donations are so important. If you were able to donate last week on "Solidarity Sunday" - THANK YOU. Or your Share Lent donation envelope can be used in the collection box year round!

As you wind down your Lenten journey, continue fasting from meat on Fridays. Eat simply, to identify with the poor. Perhaps a simple Coconut Curry Pumpkin Soup? (recommended by Mia Klein-Gebbinck, St. Mary's Church, Beaverlodge)

STATIONS OF THE CROSS
FEBRUARY 19TH, 2021

Enter the journey of Christ on the road to the cross, by “virtually” walking the stations of the cross with us. This Friday, join with us as we honor the Redemptorists serving at St. Joseph Parish by praying "The Way of the Cross by St. Alphonsus Liguori".

St. Alphonsus had a passionate love for Christ and Mary. "His Crib, His Cross, His Altar, and His Mother". He dedicated his life to serving the poor, and gathered devout men to form the Redemptorist Order. St Joseph Parish, indeed the entire Archdiocese of Grouard McLennan, has been well led by Redemptorists who follow Alphonsus by leading us to serve the poor.

The St. Joseph Social Justice Group reminds you to continue to support the work of Development and Peace, whose theme this Lent is: "Share Love, Share Lent". The Annual Share Lent Collection will be taken at all St. Joseph's Sunday Masses on March 21, 2021. Or use your special Share Lent envelope any time of the year!

As you begin your Lenten journey, consider fasting from meat on Fridays. Eat simply, to identify with the poor. Perhaps a simple Carrot Soup? (Recipe by Mary Marcotte from Soup for Supper.)

MARCH 19TH, 2021

Enter the journey of Christ on the road to the cross by “virtually” walking the stations of the cross with us. This Friday, join with us as we pray in remembrance of the suffering caused by the global Covid Pandemic - for the dead, the ill, the grieved, the frightened, the lonely and the poor, in The Pandemic Way of the Cross by Tom Hoopes, for Aleteia (2020).

The entire world; ALL the people on this, our Common Home, have been impacted in so many ways by the Covid Pandemic. Remember your D&P partners in the global south and in places tragically burdened during the pandemic by supporting the Share Lent Collection on Sunday March 21, 2021. Have faith in the future of Our Common Home. (Used with permission from The Catholic Agency for Overseas Development, UK, CAFOD). Reaching out in almsgiving to front line workers can make you part of the solution and ease your pandemic burden as we recover together. Here are some key principles for a Just Recovery for ALL.

Continue fasting during your Lenten journey, especially from meat on Fridays. Eat simply, to identify with the poor. Perhaps a simple Red Lentil Vegetable Soup? (contributed by Helen MacDonald)
