Archbishop’s Dinner, Friday, November 5

Catholic Education Sunday

Dear Parishionners,

Each year, in November, we celebrate Catholic Education Sunday. This November it is on Sunday, November 7th, 2021.

In recognition of Catholic Education Sunday, the Bishops of Alberta and the Northwest Territories, have shared a letter to all people. The letter can be found here. In addition to the letter the Bishops have also provided us with a Novena for Catholic education. You can use this Novena to lead your students into the short activity. This might be something to use for morning prayer leading up to Catholic Education Sunday.

Catholic Education Sunday is a great opportunity to rejoice in the gifts of our Catholic Schools. It is a time to give thanks to God for the blessing of Catholic education, and we pray in a special way for all students, teachers, staff, administrators, and trustees of our Catholic schools. We are blessed to have our Catholic schools!

Virtual VBS 2020- Concrete and Cranes

This year’s Concrete & Cranes Vacation Bible School is going to be very different but still full of fun for families! FREE Registration for virtual VBS will give you access to the same fun activities you’ve enjoyed in past years. Follow along to the video’s created for 5 days of Music, Crafts, Snacks, Bibles Stories, Bible Games & Recreation that you can do right at home. There will be material lists available, each family will be responsible to put together items needed for the week. This will ensure you will be prepared for your at home VBS.

Although we will miss being together this year, it will give families the ability to do VBS however works best for them. Some may choose to do the 5 days from Monday to Friday all in one week, others may choose to do one day once a week for 5 weeks through the summer. Other families may choose to wait until the end of the summer to see if the rules and guidelines have lifted and pair up with another family to enjoy VBS together. Whatever your choice, you are sure to have a fun, faith filled week learning about how a strong faith foundation will enrich your life.

When VBS is ready to launch you will receive and email with a password and instructions on how to access the videos. It will be a different but wonderful way to enjoy VBS in this different time.

God Bless!
